A club assembly was held last week.

Community Service – Admiralty House Senior Islanders’ bathrooms were to be inspected.  A total of $2,512 had been spent on the facility by Pembroke Rotary.  Which was to be reimbursed by Government.  As a result of PRC’s involvement, a 20% savings in materials purchase costs are to  be realized by Government.

The crew to attend on Sat 1 July are PP Ross Spurling, PP Andrew Caulfield, PP Douglas Backeberg and head honcho, Tom Trimingham. Drywall is ready to be installed.

Club Service – Ken Siggins announced that he is going to create a Pembroke Rotary web site, which will be linked to RI’s site.  (Editor’s note: Ken has put this in place and it is available through the RI site or directly at pwp.ibl.bm/~ksiggins.  This is a temporary address, which uses Ken’s personal web page.  A more jazzy one will be in place soon.)

Geoge Cubbon related the sad tale of a Japanese visitor who attended at Fisch’s place in error and missed us at the RBYC.  George handed Pres. Bob a bag containing many small Japanese gifts.  A business card was included and our would be visitor will receive a banner in the mail.

PP Andrew Caulfield announced those members who will receive a credit on their next bill for breakfasts in advance.  They are Bob, Andrew Caulfield, George Cubbon, Gilda, Marshall, Blake, Alan and Robert Vallis. These are for make ups and Spouse’s nights.

PP Andrew Caulfield was appointed Area Rep for DG Janet Dibenedetto for the next Rotary Year.  Janet will be in Bermuda today for a meeting with the new Rotary executives.

2nd August 2000- Family Learning Centre Tag day.  Pembroke Rotarians will be tagging at the Bank of Butterfield .  This is the Wednesday before Cup Match and team ribbons will be exchanged for a donation.
