This Weeks Speaker - Clemens Witt
This weeks speaker is our
Ambassadorial Scholar Clemens Witt
(Clem Michaelsen).
A man steeped in Rotary having been in Rotaract for 10 years, held the office of District Governor (Rotaract) in Germany and has attended 5 International Conventions.
Grown up in West Berlin he can still remember the Berlin Wall and when the Wall came down.
In his speech he highlights some parts of the young German history: WW1, WW2, Cold War, German Culture, Berlin Wall, Cold War etc.
He gives small stories which will help to understand German structure and Germany today. He never liked the history lessons in school so he tries to make it as different as possible.
Clemens is a very dynamic young man and his presentation will be one to impress and should not be missed.
He is currently being hosted by Henry and Loretta Michaelsen from RCAP. Please be sure to come and listen to Clemens. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berlin_Wall

Relay for Life Thankyou by Liz De Nittis
A big thankyou to those who kindly participated in the
Relay for Life event held at Albert Park April 30th May 1st.
We had a great contingency with the BBQ and also the Team Walkers who ventured out in the great weather we had that weekend. Mostly I must mention about Alan Fitzgerald and Ian Henry who were competing against one another for most laps of the lake for their fundraising attempt. At last count Ian had completed some 40km in distance. Great effort. Well done members.
