Wheels for March 15 by Julie Ontiveros
The Multiple Sclerosis Society gives a voice to people living with MS. The organization works to raise awareness for the challenges of MS and call for change. Together, MS activists take action and shape health policies to benefit people living with MS. The many MS activists are the voices of change for approximately 400,000 people living with MS nationwide. Last week was MS Awareness Week, according to guest speaker Gayle Lindsey. There is no cure for MS, which affects mainly people ages 20-50, but the Society is actively working to change that. Look for upcoming opportunities to support this worthwhile organization: a walk, cycling event and the ever-popular Beef-A-Thon.

The Rotary Club of Amarillo is encouraging funds for the local Foundation , which has helped pay off the club's long-term commitment to the YMCA's development of Rotary Park. There were envelopes on tables at lunch to make it easier to help restore the Foundation fund. It's tax deductible. Just contribute what you can to help our Foundation benefiting the Rotary Club of Amarillo.
Please turn in your ticket stubs to Gina for the travel voucher raffle before April 1.
