Wheels for Sept 27
by Julie Ontiveros

Proud to be a Rotarian!

This week, special guest District 5730 Governor Paul Anderson reminded us of the importance of Rotary… in the world and in our own lives. All over the world, Rotarians are making a difference, whether it is in cleaner water, eradicating polio, giving blankets, mosquito netting, shelter, literacy support – the list goes on and on. The commitment to Service Above Self benefits each of us and our communities beyond measure. DG Anderson expressed his appreciation to every Rotarian for being part of these efforts. He also invites everyone to attend both the cruise in Hawaii and the Conference in Lubbock next May.

Rotary International Foundation raffle tickets have been distributed. Please sell the tickets for $10 each and turn in all funds and ticket stubs to Gina by November 1st. The winner will receive a $1,000 gift card, the Rotarian that sells the most will receive $500 and the person who sells the winning ticket will receive $500. Proceeds will go to a local charity to be decided.

Our sincere appreciation to:
Mel Darnell and Dale Bippus for greeting us.
President-Elect Mike Good for presiding.
David O'Dell for leading us in song.
John Tyson for delivering the invocation.
Mel Darnell for serving as September program chair.
Basil Walker for selling Rotary Foundation drawing tickets.
