 Visiting Rotarians

Chase Heberle was visiting from the Lakewood, Washington Rotary Club.  Oscar Padgent was visiting from the Topsfield Rotary Club.

Interact Club

Interact members were not present today.

Makeups

David Slade and Kevin McAveenery made up at Interact.  Ed Collard made up in Rockport.

Rotarians can now make up on line.  Check out www.rotaryeclubone.org , allow yourself 30 minutes to complete the makeup and make sure you print off a receipt of having completed your on line makeup.  Please hand  your receipt to Carole Sharoff in order for the attendance records to be adjusted.

 Birthdays & Anniversaries

Don Sudbay Sr. was reached by phone this week and the group sang (kinda) Happy Birthday to him.  Sue Ellis is celebrating 24 "wonderful" years of marriage.  John Dugger is celebrating 25 years since he started his own architectural firm.

Vacations

      No vacations were reported today.

Happy Thoughts

Jim Cooke was happy to announce he is expecting his 3rd child in 3 years.  Jim admits he needs  to start  looking for a another hobby to keep himself occupied.   Jim Marr was happy to have purchased another new car from Sudbay Motors.  Don paid for the Happy Thought. Bruce Horne was happy to see Sheree DeLorenzo at 3 meetings in a row.  Ouch Bruce! Bruce was also happy to be starting a 10 day vacation.  Christopher Farmer was happy our own Interact Co-President Marcus Busdby has been accepted to Stanford.  Bruce Horne was a concerned father today, being happy that his daughter is moving back to Gloucester.  Bruce is even happier because the move will occur when he is on vacation.  (Maybe your daughter Bruce will cancel her move until you return all rested and tanned with a lot of energy to lift and carry all her stuff?) David Slade was happy to take his oldest granddaughter to her first Red Sox game.  Lilly Rose was a good luck charm for the Sox, who won their game!    Roger Armstrong was happy that the recent Share Music Concert at the Annisquam Village Hall shared 50% of the proceeds with the World War 2 Veterans Memorial and to support homeless veterans.  Julie LaFontaine was happy the Cape Ann Food Pantry has a new name:  Open Door, Feeding People, Changing Lives.  The name change was donated by Mullen Advertising.  President Sinikka was happy to have had a fundraiser for Cape Ann TV in Manchester.  President Sinikka was also proud of her niece for working for a high school in Harlem  The niece started something called the Water Bottle Club.  Sales from the water bottles go to the high school's first scholarship.

 Fines

Mike Costello was fined for being himself again today.  Greg Bover had a tour fine.  George Roark had a cell phone fine.  Rotarian's wearing blue jeans today, of which there were many, were fined by President Sinikka.  Members still going to the Elks for our meeting were fined again.  Brad Pierce received a dessert fine.  Rudy Macchi was fined for wearing Mary Black's badge.  Rick Doucette was fined for wearing Sergey Zemlyanski's badge.  Rick justified wearing Serge's name tag because he wanted the badge to see the light of day, since he has been elsewhere on Tuesday lately.  Rotarians also paid a pin fine today.
