Interact members were not present today due to school vacations.

Happy Thoughts
Bruce Horne was happy the Rockport Golf Course is open for the season. Brad Pierce was happy to share a story about the Rotary secret handshake. Barry Pett was happy the Rotary Bowling meeting was so much fun. Mike Linquata was happy to be back for the summer. Mike was also happy to have Dr. Arsenanon as his doctor. Dave Babson was happy to have rescued his hunting camp from the Essex marsh. John Dugger was happy he did not hit an elderly woman when he was rear ended. John was also happy his daughter Sam did well in a bowling tournament. Ruth Pino was happy to throw at Joe Parisi the same dinner roll she tossed at him at a District Meeting for making a sexist remark. Joe Paris was happy to have raised 20K at an auction held for Saint Ann School. Rick Doucette did an outstanding job being the auctioneer. Sinikka Nogelo was happy to have had an opportunity to speak to a younger member of the Costello family recently. Mike Costello was happy to predict that pigs were going to fly off Thatcher Island when the alcohol ban is lifted in Rockport. (Note - flying pigs were sited Mike, congrats...it has been a long time coming (150 years). Greg Bover was happy he had an opportunity to burn a 3 year accumulation of brush. Greg is also happy to be giving a slide show on May 11 on the Switzerland Organ Project.
Fines
Mike Costello was fined for advertising for volunteers during the blessing. Steve Kaiity was fined for a not-so-flattering Easter photo. Sal Fronterio was fined for some shameless self promotions. Members who did not turn over their raffle money were fined. Joe Parisi was fined for his sexist remark at the District Conference.

April 30th is the date for the cemetery cleanup. This year we will be assisted by some guests of Sheriff Cousins.
May 3 is the date or our next road trip. The club will be meeting at the Visitor's Center at Stage Fort Park at our usual time. Mayor John Bell will be our guest of honor. Mayor Bell will announce the distribution of the Community Development Block Grants for this year. Last year we received $10,000 toward our Centennial Project, we are hoping that Mayor Bell will look kindly toward our project again this year. The rain date will be May 10.
May 21 is the date for the band stand cleanup, please circle the date and plan to help out.
Stage Fort Park Centennial Project
Please consider signing on as a sponsor of our Centennial Project - The Stage Fort Park Playground Sponsor Levels include - Gold Sponsorship, $1000 will purchase a picnic table, Sliver -$650 will purchase a bench, and Bronze - $400 will purchase a tree. All sponsors will be acknowledged on a display at the playground.
Winners and Losers...Sal Fronterio won the beverage of choice. Don Sudbay Jr. won the money, and Dave Babson won the flowers. No winners today in the card raffle.
Speakers.... Doris Labbe spoke about her family's experience dealing with a family member addicted to oxycontin.
Lunch Rating... Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on pork roast with rice, salad and raspberry shortcake dessert. The dinners at my table gave the food 5 stars.
