     Sal Frontiero had Patricia Zaido, our speaker today, and Jennifer Lincoln as his guests today.  Kim Spanner had her friend Karen as her guest.

 

Interact Club

      Interact members were not present today.

 

Makeups

      Mike Sarraf made up in Rockport, Terri Jones made up 2 times online.

     Rotarians can now make up on line.  Check out www.rotaryeclubone.org , allow yourself 30 minutes to complete the makeup and make sure you print off a receipt of having completed your on line makeup.  Please hand  your receipt to Carole Sharoff in order for the attendance records to be adjusted. 

 

 Birthdays  Anniversaries

    Mike Costello celebrated his birthday.   

 

Vacations

    David Slade had a vacation by association; his wife went on vacation leaving him home alone.  John Rando went to Key Largo, Florida.  Bill Flygare was happy his trip to Florida had many tornado warnings, but no actual tornadoes.  Don Sudbay Jr. went to Lincoln, North Carolina on business.                                                        

Happy Thoughts

     Sue Ellis was happy her son made the honor roll in school.  Dave Stotzer was happy to have bounced when he fell off a ladder while clipping some shrubs.  John Dugger was a little unhappy, missing his daughter who is off on a trip.  Roger Corbin had a happy grandson thought.  Don Subay Jr. was happy his brother went on vacation, freeing up some Celtic tickets.  Ruth Pino was happy to have Brad Pierce help out with the past presidents.  Marc Grenier was happy to see Bruce Springsteen in concert.  President Sinikka was happy to have had a successful fundraiser at a restaurant in Manchester.   Roger Armstrong was happy to be past the one-year mark on his house renovations.   Mike Costello was happy a tree was planted in his honor in Manchester. 

 

 

 Fines

     Mike Costello and Rudy Macchi were both fined for photos.  Ruth Pino paid the fine.

  • First Baptist Cemetery
  • Playground and hill at Stage Fort Park
  • Gus Foote Park
  • Rotary Traffic Island

Lawnmowers, rakes shovels, weedwackers with sawblades needed

Small cookout to follow at 7PM

 

 

May 9...Saturday 7 PM Rain Date May 16

  • Painting the Stage Fort Park Bandstand
  • Tools needed:  rakes, shovels, brooms, step ladders, and staging
  • Club will provide paint, brushes, gloves, coffee

      Rotary is still exiled from the Elks Club.  The new meeting schedule is as follows:

  • Cruiseport again next week, Tuesday,  April 28th.
  • Thursday, May 7,  we will meet at Danversport Yacht Club (no Tuesday meeting on May 5th)
  • Tuesday,  May 12, meet at Cruiseport.
  • Tuesday,  May 19 - tentatively scheduled to meet at the Elks once again

       Julie LaFontaine is going to be honored at the North Shore United Way's Unsung Hero Award on April 29 at Cruiseport from 6 to 8 pm.

Sergey Zemlyanski, is up for next Tuesday's ABC of Rotary MomentDavid Babson  is first backup, Kevin Bacon, is the second backup, and the third backup is Greg Bover. Please have your  ABC of Rotary Moment ready.

 


 

Winners and Losers... Josh Arnold gave an ABC of Rotary MomentDave Stotzer won the money, and Shirley Conway won the flowers. No winners today in the card raffle.

 


Speakers....··Sal Frontiero introduced our speaker today, Patricia Zaido, the Executive Director of the Salem Partnership, a nonprofit organization composed of leading business and government officials in the greater Salem region .
