Happy Thoughts
Steve Kaity was happy the Pride Stride took in $37,000 for the day, and $47,000 year to date. Steve thanked all the Rotarians who came down and worked the event or made a contribution.
Mike Gigliotti was happy to have met a new Gigliotti at Rotary today.
Scott Chernov was happy to have survived making a hundred balloon hats for Pride Stride.
John Dugger was happy he and daughter Sam received a ride back during Pride Stride. John Dugger's daughter Sam had the expectation of riding her bike the 5.5 miles, but tired quickly.
Sam Miceli was happy to be back after a four month stint in Fort Lauderdale. Steve Kaity paid for the Happy Thought.
Ruth Pino was happy to have gone to "Dining on the Rocks" this past Sunday, and had a wonderful time. Cayte Ward paid for the Happy Thought.
Barbecue Chef Joe Ciolino was happy to have lost only one hamburger during the grilling of 1000 hamburgers for Pride Stride. The one flying hamburger was eaten by John Dugger's dog, and not wasted.
Cheryl Collins was happy to have the local bowling alley opening up soon and newly remolded. Don "Ed" Sudbay Jr. paid for the Happy Thought.
Bruce Horne was happy to have received a clean bill of health from his oncologist this week.

Jim Perry went to Marco Island and Joe Parisi went to visit Mickey. David Babson went to St. Kits, Carole Sharoff went to France and Switzerland, and Tom Consulate went to Biloxi, Mississippi.

The next Rotary Moment will be given by Alex Delis, an attempt for the fifth week, followed the week after by Rick Doucette.
Club News
Shirley Conway has given me a list of guest speakers for May; they are as follows: Kathy Bliss on May 6, Business meeting on May 13, Nancy Schwayer on May 20, and ROTC on May 27th.
May 10 and 17 are the days to paint the bandstand. The 17th will be the "cleanup day"
Winners and Losers... No one won the beverage of choice. Shirley Conway won the money, and nobody won the flowers. No winners today in the card raffle.
Speakers.... Ruth Pino introduce our guest speakers today, Jeff Richon and Nancy Silva from the Gloucester Maritime Center located on Harbor Loop. Jeff talked about the history of the center and what plans are for the future. Nancy talked about the "Pocket Aquarium" being built for use this summer.
Lunch Rating... Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on salad and chicken parm. The dinners at my table gave the food 4stars. When asked what would improve the meal, the dinners suggested larger portions.
