Happy Thoughts
Brad Pierce was happy he had the opportunity to "borrow" a Massachusetts State Highway sign that reads "Rotary." Tony Corrao was happy to see the sign in front of Cruiseport on his way to the Elks. (....dawn rises over Marblehead....) Mike Sarraf was happy to be celebrating the 6 year anniversary of his dental practice. Julie LaFontaine is also celebrating her anniversary as Director of the Open Door Food Pantry on April 1st. Kim Spaner was happy to move back into her home. Jon Morse was happy the Red Sox opener went well. Roger Armstrong was happy the Stage Fort Park cleanup went so well. Jim Duggan was happy to enjoy a catered dinner he won at the Chamber Of Commerce Auction. Barry Pett was happy the Temple is breaking ground for the new building, 2 years after the devastating fire. Barry is also happy the Gloucester Fund has won its court case regarding a donation check that could not be cashed. David McKechnie was happy the Shriner's Burn Hospital has recently received a large bequest. Sinikka Nogelo was happy Meredith Fine does such a fine job interviewing people for Cape Ann TV. Pat Thorpe was happy Bank Gloucester has hired a new loan officer. Pat was happy (but scared) that his daughter is now a teenager - 13 years old. Chase K. was happy his brother was able to walk 1 1/2 miles after recovering from a double lung transplant. Mike Linquata was happy to be back from Florida. Mike is also happy the WW2 Memorial Committee has sold 120 bricks with veteran's names on them. President Ruth was happy for the club's seamless move to Cruiseport. The attendance today confirms the convenience of the new location for our meetings.
Fines
Brad Pierce was fined for keeping a secret about a winter rental guest. Ed Collard was fined for wearing Mike Costello's name badge. Members who did not come to the Stage Fort Park Cleanup were fined.
