     Mike Gigliotti's wife Marion was his guest, Herb Goodick had his wife Ruth as his guest, and Bob Ryan had Heidi Dallin and Yoichi Udagawa, our guest speaker today, as his guests.

Interact Club

     Interact members are on summer school break.

Makeups

     One makeup was reported today.

Happy Thoughts

      Scott Chernov was happy that his wife is recovering nicely from recent knee surgery.

      Cheryl Collins was very happy that the Rockport schools are now in session.  Summer break is over at the Collins/Aparo household!

      Don Sudbay Jr. was happy the bowling alley is now open for business.  Good luck to the Sudbays!!

      David Slade was happy his youngest daughter is moving out of his house to her new job in California.

Anniversaries & Birthdays

     No birthdays were reported today.  Becky Sumner celebrated 9 "wonderful " years of marriage.

Fines

     Joe Ciolino paid a photo fine in the GDT's.

     Rick Doucette was fined for getting Mike Gigliotti's name wrong.

     Mike Costello was fined for being late for the blessing.

Vacations

     Mike Costello went to New York, David Babson went to Maine, and President Greg went to California.

A Rotary Moment

    The next Rotary Moment will be given by Neil Mathews, followed by the week after by David McArdle, followed by David McKechnie.  I am adding a third name to the Rotary Moment list.  Brad is burning out coming up with Rotary Moments every weekm so now we will have two backups!

Club News

    The Gloucester vs.. Rockport Golf Outing is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, September 11th at 1 pm at the the Rockport Golf Club.  The cost is yet to be determined.  Please sign up with Bruce Horne. Ringers even remotely associated with our club have been accepted in the past.  This is a must -win competition.  Loosing is not an option.


Winners and Losers... Josh Arnold won the beverage of choice.  David Babson won the money, and Steve Kaity won the flowers.  No winners today in the card raffle.

Speakers.... Bob Ryan had Yoichi Udagawa, conductor of the Cape Ann Symphony, as our guest speaker today. 

Lunch Rating...   Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on a chicken parmigiana sandwich..  The dinners at my table gave the food 4 stars.  When asked what would improve the meal the dinners had no suggestions.
