Interact Club
Interact members are on summer school break.
Makeups
No makeups were reported today.
Happy Thoughts
Scott Chernov had an unpleasant happy thought about his car being a target for sea gull. Scott, you have to have the attitude in Gloucester that every time you get hit by a seagull it is considered a special blessing from God. Scott, we all know you are special.
Ingrid Brown, the current President of the Rockport Club, invited everyone to attend their Lobster Fest on Saturday.
Kevin Kiely invited everybody to the Mary Tyler Moore Lobster Race. ( the winner goes in the pot last!)
Sue Todd was happy to receive a grant to help sexually abused children.
Pat Thorpe was happy that his bank was, in a recently survey, ranked high for service .
Marc Sandler was happy to be a new grandfather. The Sandlers welcomed a baby boy named Aaron. Congrats!
Bruce Horne was happy his wife has taken off her cast.
Old Jim Perry is happy that young Jim Perry is home from his recent trip.
Don Sudbay Jr., was happy to have a new "Mr.Goodwrench" in his employ. Jim Marr is helping out at the bowling center, assembling "things" for Don "Ed" Sudbay Jr.
Cheryl Collins was happy to go on the Rotary Social Trip to Salem. Cheyl enjoyed the cruise.
Anniversaries & Birthdays
Rick Doucette celebrated his birthday today. Ruth Pino met her husband 36 years ago today.
Fines
President Greg fined all members who did not go on the Rotary Boat Cruise and did not pay the first fine.
Members who did not help out at the bandstand cleanup were also fined.
President Greg fined Scot, Julie, and Karl for being late.
Dave Stotzer was fined for blocking Cameron's parking lot with his car.
Rockport President-Elect Kevin Kiely was fined for calling the women members of his club "chicks". (Sensitivity training for Kevin sounds like a must.)
Jim Marr was fined for having a "free cabinet" on his sidewalk in front of his home. Greg's spy
insinuated the Jim was saving the cost of a trash sticker, but Jim insisted that he was recycling!
Vacations
Dennis Acker and daughter Maya built, by Dennis's count, a thousand sand castles on a Cape Cod beach.
Sal Fronterio went to catch a Red Sox game in Baltimore.
Steve Dexter spent his vacation on the Annisquam River.
Pat Thorpe vacationed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Scott Chernov went to Long Island, and Brad Pierce went to Jamaica, Vermont for a family reunion.
Mike Gigliotti went to Chicago for his induction ceremony into the Plastic Hall of Fame.
David Babson went to Tangle Wood.
Jon Morse went to Maine.
A Rotary Moment
The next Rotary Moment will be given by Bill Mantz followed by the week after by Neil Mattews.

Speakers.... Catherine Henry introduced our guest speaker today, Ralph Johnson, from Action. Ralph spoke about the management of Action's Shelter on Main Street.
Lunch Rating... Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on salad and baked fish. The dinners at my table gave the food 5 stars. When asked what would improve the meal the dinners suggested the meal was just fine..
