Club News

Howard Frisch presented Coral Grande, the Director of the Gloucester Senior Center, with a check for $1000 today.  The money was part of the profit from the Pancake Breakfast held last August.

Barry Pett ran an impromptu auction last Tuesday.  Barry had two tickets to the Christmas show at the North Shore Theater, plus tickets to the gambling ship.  David Slade and Brad Pierce battled it out with Brad coming out the winner to the tune of $80.00.  The proceeds will go the the Stage Fort Park Centennial Project.  Thank you to Barry Pett for coming up with the tickets and thanks also to Brad Pierce for adding some gift items to our regular raffle.

Winners and Losers... No one won the beverage of choice.  Rudy Macchi won the money, and Becky Sumner won the flowers.  No winners today in the card raffle. Jon Morse won the poster, and Fran Mondello won the box of candy.

Speakers....  Coral Grande thanked us for our donatio and talked about the current activities at the Senior Center.  President Greg presented Coral with another check as a Christmas present from us  to the Senior Center for a T.V to be used in their low-vision room.

Lunch Rating...   Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on stuffed cabbage and potatoes.  The dinners at my table gave the food 5 stars.  When asked what would improve the meal the dinners suggested the meal was just fine.  (Stuffed cabbage is this writer's favorite meal!)
