Happy Thoughts
Brad Pierce was happy to be the first responder to a small skidding accident. Steve Kaity was happy to see State Trooper Marty Cook wearing a holster made by his company, Strong Company. Barry Pett was happy the annual trip for Santa (Rudy) to go to the Shriner's Hospital all went well and the weather cooperated. Rudy was recognized by the Board of Directors of Shriner's Hospital for his dedication to the children in coming to hospital bearing gifts every year. Christopher Farmer was happy a newly elected City Councilor came to our Rotary Lunch at GHS, but dutifully noted that Bob was not his guest, as was stated in the Rotator. (President Ruth clarified that Bob was her guest.) Chris Costello did some quick math today, if his parents have been married for 39 years, and he is 37 years old, the math works out. (Chris, did your parents ever tell you that you were a premature baby weighing in at 10 pounds?) Don Sudbay was happy to have saved the elder Costello some money today. Mike wanted to install a remote starter for his wife's car for Christmas. Don remembered that the car that Mike purchased had a remote starter already factory installed. Maggie Rosa was happy the O'Maley School kids earned $608.00 for their special project, which also received some newspaper ink in the Globe North section of the Boston Globe. Greg Bover was happy to receive a variance for permission to build a deck he purchased at a Chamber of Commerce auction 2 years ago.
Fines
Tony Corrao was fined for having a red shirt on today. President Ruth also fined all Rotarians present for not wearing a red shirt today, go figure. Christopher Farmer was fined for the GHS Football team being featured on a High Five segment of Channel 5 news. TD Bank North was fined for having a female teller outside on the sidewalk shoveling snow in front of their bank building.
