Happy Thoughts

Dave Stotzer was happy to announce he became engaged to be married last night.  Dave got a standing ovation with his happy news.  Do not forget to congratulate Steve Kaity for the new addition to his future holiday tables!

Josh Arnold was happy to have completed an audit for  unbilled funds owed by the state to the city for all past school construction.  The amount comes to $3.2 million,  which the state should pay back in the coming years.  Good job Josh, if there ever was a time the city needed this money it is NOW!

Carol Sharoff announced that a group of parents are going to raise $130 thousand to cover the short fall in this School Department budget.

Ruth Pino had a good time at a Christmas Party held at the Cape Ann Bowling Lanes.

Rick Doucette was happy to see Tony Corrao shave off his mustache.

Anniversaries & Birthdays

Mike Costello is celebrating 33 "wonderful" years of marriage.  Howard Frisch is celebrating 41 "wonderful" years of marriage.

Club News

Thank you Shirley Conway for taking notes for me at this meeting.

Acting President Joe Ciolino inducted Joanne Carbone into the club today.  Please introduce yourself to Joanne and welcome her.

Howard Frisch gave out more of the proceeds from the pancake breakfast. Howard presented a check of $1,100 to Susan Oleksiw, Director of the North Shore Aids Project.  Howard presented a check of $1,100 to Lydia Bertolino, Director of RSVP.

Winners and Losers... David Babson won the beverage of choice.  David McKechine won the money, and Joe Ciolino won the flowers.  No winners today in the card raffle.

Speakers.... Jane Militello, the Nutritional Director for RSVP,  told about putting together our Christmas gift of banana bread delivered with lunches for Christmas.  RSVP serves 300 people in Gloucester.  Jane also made a plea for volunteers to help out the organization.

Lunch Rating...   Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on rib eye sandwich with fries. The dinners at my table gave the food 3 stars.  When asked what would

improve the meal the dinners suggested the beef was to just to difficult to eat as a sandwich..
