Happy Thoughts
Dave Stotzer was happy that the group photo of the Mentorship participants (shot by Brad Pierce) came out well. Dave was also happy that Brad had film in his camera, which always helps - right Dave? Dave was also happy the Interact Club has once again purchased dictionaries for all the 3rd grade students in the Gloucester School System. Don Sudbay was happy the Mentorship Project went well. President Don thanked all the members who participated and Josh Arnold and his committee for setting up the event. Josh was happy that the new Mentorship Project went went well for its first year. Josh was also happy his daughter's dance group performed at a Boston Celtics game. Christopher Farmer was happy the Mentorship Program went well, and the event might be a fund raising event for the school with a participation fee paid by companies who wish to recruit student interns. Sue Todd was happy to be back at Rotary, and to be a speaker today. (Just a note about our Rotary history - Sue Todd started the Happy Thought during her presidency back in 1994-95.) Greg Bover was happy to have had an opportunity to read to the 1st and 2nd grades at the Veterans Memorial School for the Sawyer Free Library's Reading Program. Roger Armstrong was happy the Co-Op Bank has cleared it last hurdle in their construction project.
Fines
President Don fined Joe Parisi for being Joe. Joe Ciolino was fined for misspelling Don's wife Jeannie's name in the last Rotator. Ruth Pino paid a whopping fine which included a photo in the GDT's and winning in the Rockport's Super Bowl's betting pool.
