     Tony Corrao had his friend Dave as his guest today.  Bill Flygare had our speakers today as his guests; Brianna Mangelli was a Rotary exchange student in Finland for a year, and  Jackie Bannister,  the District  Chair of the Rotary Youth Exchange Program. 

 

Interact Club

     

      Interact members were not present today.

 

Makeups

      Makeups reported: Jim Cooke made up in Lynn, Roger Corbin made up in Bedford. 

     Rotarians can now make up on line.  Check out www.rotaryeclubone.org , allow yourself 30 minutes to complete the makeup and make sure you print off a receipt of having completed your on line makeup.  Please hand  your receipt to Carole Sharoff in order for the attendance records to be adjusted. 

 

 Birthdays & Anniversaries

     Christopher Farmer celebrated his birthday today.  David Slade is celebrating 35 "wonderful" years of marriage this week. 

 

Vacations

      Steve Dexter took some time to child-sit with his grandchildren for a week.  Steve and Dawn kept the children on a  busy schedule, helping to manage getting them through the week.  Todd Tanger spent 5 days in Florida, Christopher Farmer spent 7 days in Texas.  Ruth Macchi visited Daytona Beach for 5 days, Mark Grenier spent 2 days skiing with his children.  Roger Armstrong spent 2 days in Manhattan.   

                                                      

Happy Thoughts

     Christopher Farmer was happy to receive a letter from Her Majesty the Queen's government informing Christopher that on the occasion of his birthday, he is now entitled to a very small pension.  Speaking of pensions, Mike Costello was happy to receive his first pension check from the U.S Treasury.  Dave McKechnie was happy to be celebrating his mother's 81st  birthday at the Blackburn this week.  Todd Tanger was happy his daughter is celebrating her 8th birthday today.  Rick Doucette was happy to have won $125.00 on the Rockport  Club's Super Bowl game of chance. 

 

 Fines

     Rick Doucette was fined for winning his $125.00, you have to pay the VIG to the house on your winnings.  Christopher Farmer was fined for providing a little entertainment as members were watching him leave early with someone else's coat on -  and returning to find and fetch his own.  President Sinikka had a bird-of-the-day fine, also a missing Rotary pin fine.     

 

    Club News

 .   President Sinikka Inducted our newest member, Steve Noble.  Please take the opportunity to introduce yourself and welcome Steve to Rotary. 

 

 ABC of Rotary Moment

    

     Steve Noble is up for next Tuesday's  ABC of Rotary Moment, Sergey Zemlyanski is first backup, Rudy Macchi is the second backup, and the third backup is Pat Thorpe. Please have your   ABC of Rotary Moment ready. 

    


Winners and Losers...   Todd Tanger gave an ABC of Rotary Moment.  Mike Costello won the money, and President Sinikka won the flowers.  No winners today in the card raffle.

 


Speakers....  Bill Flygare introduced our speaks today: Jackie Bannister, Chair of the Rotary Youth Exchange program and Brianna Mangelli, a Rotary Exchange Student in Finland for a year. Brianna  spoke about her Rotary Exchange experience  Our  Board of Directors have agreed to participate in this year's Exchange Program.
