Vacations
Scott Chernov had kind of a vacation, being home sick from work. Tony Corrao vacationed in Santa Bell Island, Florida. Tony experienced the first frost in the area since 1970 while visiting!Sinikka Nogelo was happy to have both of her daughters living in Massachusett, and happy for a quick trip to New York with her daughters. Steve Kaity was happy to have the Building Center donate another $1000 to the club's Centennial Project. Thank You Joe Parisi! Steve was also happy with the expectation of $25,000 worth of playground equipment to be delivered in April. Howard Frisch was happy to be featured in the January 29th Sunday Boston Globe. The paper is planning a spread on Howard's clock collection. Congrats Howard! Cheryl Collins is happy that her co-worker will be back to work after a 3 week sick leave. Now Cheryl is free to "roam around the country". Cheryl was also happy that her family enjoyed a performance of Blue Man Group. Cheryl, did Steve and Dawn Dexter recommend the performance? They enjoyed it so much when the club went as as an outing. (Or maybe not.....)
Happy Thoughts
Dave Stotzer was happy he went to Wisconsin to help his father transfer from one nursing home to another more comfortable one. David McKechnie was happy his father's surgery went well. Julie LaFontane was happy her hens are laying eggs again. I guess there was a dry spell (for the rooster?) in the hen house for a while.
Fines
Don Sudbay Jr., contributed to the new cars from Sudbay fine several time today. Business must be good. Don, talk to President Jim for a volume discount on those fines! Tony Corrao was fined for having an employee drive a company truck without an inspection sticker. President Jim gave out his weekly seatbelt fine.
Club News
WE ARE UPDATING our Rotary Website. If you have not updated your bio, please take a few moments and do so. Rotarians who have not had their mug shot taken for the website bio, please let me know. I am putting together a list for Fran Mondello to take the photo before our weekly meeting soon. New members for the last 6 months will all need to have their photos taken. Please remember - only club members have access to the personal bios part of the website.
Thanks, Joe
