No birthdays were reported today. Christopher Farmer is celebrating the anniversary of his engagement on January 15th.
Vacations
Todd Tanger went to NYC with his two young children for two days. Todd got the award this week for the vacation that nobody got any rest on. Tony Coraro went to Disney and participated in a roofers conference. Bruce Horne went to Nashville for work, and then on to Florida for a vacation. Julie Geary spent two days in Vermont. President Don went to New Orleans.
Happy Thoughts
Mike Costello was happy this year's Chamber Anniversary party is sold out. Rob Carver was happy to have completed his second trip to the Dominican Republic for the Rockport Club. Brad Pierce was happy his daughter sold her house in Salem in favor of a house in Gloucester. Now Brad will have the pleasure of his grandchildren's company at a moments notice. Howard Frisch was happy for another successful Chamber of Commerce seminar on Entrepreaneurial Spirit. Howard thanked all the participants who helped out with this year's program. Charlie Foster was happy to be spending six weeks in Florida. Greg Bover was happy that Fisk Organ Company will be feathered in the Channel 5 news show Chronicle. Josh Arnold was happy to have all supports, braces and bandages off his arm following his surgery.President Don was happy to have Ann Margaret Ferrante back from her leave of absence.
Fines
President Don fined Greg Bover, Howard Frisch, Carole Sharoff, Steve Kaity, Ruth Pino and Todd Tanger for a photo in the Chamber newsletter. Mike Costello also paid the photo fine. Howard Frisch was fined for his root canal ad in the back of the Chamber newsletter. Mike Costello was fined for sending out spam. Brad Pierce was fined for accepting a Rotary cookie that Bruce Horne picked up on his travels.
Club News
Howard Frisch gave out a check for $1300 to Lydia Bertolino, representing RSVP Senior Home Care Organization. Lydia thanked us for all our help. Howard presented to Terry Connolly a check for $1300 for the North Shore Health Project. The funds distributed today are the profits from the Pancake Breakfast last August.

Winners and Losers... Rick Doucette gave an excellent Rotary Moment. Mike Saraff won the money, and President Don presented the flowers to Genie Sudbay for her work in New Orleans. No winners today in the card raffle.
Speakers.... Ruth Pino introduced Sara Grow and Joe Rosa from the Gloucester Education Collaborative. Sara Grow and Joe Rosa talked about their 5th place in 5 years program to better the Gloucester School system.
President Don had a PowerPoint presentation on his trip to New Orleans with his wife Genie, and with Cheryl Collins and her husband Dan.
