Vacations
John Dugger spent 7 days in Vermont, Roger Armstrong went to Florida, Bruce Bain went to Sugar Loaf, Christopher Farmer celebrated his week off by cleaning his downstairs oven, Leo Bergeron spent a week in New York City,David Kenny went to Seabrook and re-gifted with his wife for Christmas. Bruce Horne was happy to have another day off during the holidays, Pat Thorpe spent 2 days in Rhode Island, and Sinikka Nogelo spent spent 2 days enjoying Magnolia.
Happy Thoughts
Cheryl Collins was happy that now she can push a button and her garage door opens, as house construction continues. Kevin McAveeney was happy to have received an e-mail from an old college friend who is currently serving in Iraq. Todd Tanger was happy to be getting ready for his new year by shredding up office paper clutter. Sinikka Nogelo paid a Happy Dollar for Leo Bergenon, Leo was tapped out and could not announce his happy thought. Joe Parisi was happy his son had a 3.0 in his first semester of college. Charlene Glynn was happy her daughter Ryan had her first tooth out. Ruth Pino was happy that the "season of spending" is over; Ruth was also happy to have 40 guests over for Christmas dinner (and the food was hot as always). Ruth was also happy that her office sold the most real estate in Gloucester in 2005. Greg Bover was happy to be flying to Japan to install another Fisk organ in the Kobe University Chapel. John Dugger was happy about Ohio State. Cheryl Collins was happy to now be in the habit of buckling up her seatbelt, thanks to President Jim.
Fines
Mike Costello was fined for not wearing a seat belt to Rotary, yawning while President Jim was speaking, Joe Parisi also paid his seat belt fine. Brad Pierce paid a postcard fine. Josh Arnold, and John Dugger paid a name tag fine. Rotarians who were not wearing their Rotary Pins were fined today.
Club News
The board agreed to accept the nomination for membership of Perry Clark, from Banknorth on Rogers Street. The Board also accepted the resignation of Donna Morris who also worked for Banknorth but has been transferred. President Jim thanked Joe Parisi, George Roark, and Steve Kaity for volunteering their time to the Rotary/GHS Track Meet. The calendar project is put to bed and should be printed shortly, thank you to all who have participated in making this such profitable fundraiser for the club.
Kevin McAveeney gave a Life Refection today.
Winners and Losers... . Marc Sandler won the money, and Fran Mondello won the flowers. No winners today in the card raffle.
