Happy Thoughts
Carol Sharoff was happy that her husband was recovering, her father is celebrating his 91 st birthday, and she has a brand new granddaughter.
Sue Todd was happy that Sal Fronterio was happy to have picked such a good speaker today.
Josh Arnold was happy to have sent in the final galley proofs for a book that he authored.
Charlie Foster was happy to be taking advantage of Steve Dexter's challenge to matching money for the summer symphony concert.
Joe Ciolino was happy to have walked all of the July 4 Horrible parade with his fellow councilors and not getting booed!
Tony Corrao was happy that his company won a float in the Horrible Parade this year for the first time.
Anniversaries & Birthdays
Shirley Conway, John Scuccimarra, Karl Muench and Jessica Parisi all celebrated their birthdays today. Steve and Dawn Dexter are celebrating 38 "wonderful" years of marriage. Joe Ciolino celebrating his 16th anniversary of first meeting his wife Joan at a July 4th barbecue.

Club News
The next meeting will be held at Shorecliff Retirement Home on the corner of Shore and Cliff Road for our July 15 meeting. (next Tuesday). Please adjust your travel time in order to get across the bridge!
Tuesday July 29 is the date of the Rededication for the Gus Foot Park. The meeting will be held at the Gloucester House at 7:30 A.M.. Yes A.M., a breakfast meeting instead of a noon meeting. The Ribbon Cutting will be at 8:30 A.M. at the park and coffee and cake will served at the restaurant after the ceremony.
Tuesday July 29 is also the evening that the Cape Ann Rotary Joint Summer Boat Social is scheduled. The time is at 6:30 P.M. at Seven Seas Wharf on Rogers Street. The cost is $20.00 per person for a light buffet, cash bar and a lovely evening. RSVP with Jim Perry or Dennis Acker to sign up.
Winners and Losers...Mike Costello won the beverage of choice but never received it. Rudy Macchi won the money, and Jessica Parisi won the flowers. No winners today in the card raffle.
Speakers.... Sal Fronterio introduced out guest speaker today, Cathrine McManis from Child Development and Project Success.
Lunch Rating... Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on pasta salad and roast beef sandwich. The dinners at my table gave the food 5 stars. When asked what would improve the meal the dinners had no suggestions.
