The next Rotary Moment will be given by Alex Delis followed by Steve Dexter and Rick Doucette.
Birthdays & Anniversaries
Steve Dexter married his high school sweetheart Dawn 39 years ago. Charlie Currier is celebrating 51 "wonderful" years of marriage. Charlene "the rookie" Glynn just celebrated her first "wonderful" year of marriage.
Vacations
Cheryl Collins spent a week in Coronado, California, Dick Josephson went to Muskegon, Michigan to work on a retired sub, the USS Silverside. Mike Costello took the Bermuda cruise out of Boston, Catherine Henry went to Lake Tahoe, and Jim Marr went to Wells Beach, Maine. Steve Dexter took 3 days to enjoy the U.S. Open.
Happy Thoughts
John Dugger was happy the Tewksbury Planning Board gave the go ahead for his latest building project.
Barry Pett was happy to have the USS Austin in port for the Fiesta. Barry was happy the Saint Ann's Fund Raising event on the Horizons Edge boat proved to be very successful. Barry was also happy that his niece Elizabeth Pett celebrated her Bas Mitzvah.
John Dugger was happy to have the opportunity to celebrate Elizabeth's Bas Mitzvah. John noted that Elizabeth has a beautiful singing voice.
Greg Bover was happy to have signed a contract to install a Fisk organ in Santa Fe, New Mexico. C. B. Fisk still has a 4 year waiting list.
David McKechnie was happy to share a fine Little League story.
Joe Parisi will not be undone by his wife Di. Joe went out and bought a new truck with, of course, a "big ass" Hemi engine. Di just purchased a new car with the same engine. If you see both Parisi's on the road, stay clear until you stop hearing the squealing tires. You do not need to know what the vehicles look like, just look for the gasoline tankers following them around town.
Ruth Pino reminded David McKechnie that girls also play in Little League. Joe Parisi was overheard saying, "I did not know that!"
David Slade's daughter just purchased a new condo in Lynn.
Brad Pierce just celebrated buying his 4th grill from Charlie Foster. (Brad has not figured out he can refill the white tank hanging on the side.)
Joe Ciolino was happy to be invited to the Essex/Manchester Club as the guest speaker. Joe spoke about the International Convention in Osaka, Japan.
Josh Arnold was happy to have lost 21 pounds and also lowered his cholesterol count. Keep up the good work, Josh!
Fines
President Greg fined any member who did not have a "Happy Thought" today.
Joe Paris was fined for buying a new truck.
Late fines were levied today.
Club News
July 6th will be the start of Rotary's 100th anniversary year. Officers and directors will be installed by Mike Costello. Please come to help celebrate the start of the new year.
Winners and Losers...Sam Miceli won the beverage of choice. Catherine Henry won the money, and the flowers were given to Francis Miceli. No winners today in the card raffle.
Speakers.... Speaker were too numerous to mention. All spoke of the many achievements Sam Miceli accomplished in his many years club Secretary.
Lunch Rating... Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on seafood casserole and salad, with cake for dessert. The dinners at my table gave the food 5 stars. When asked what would improve the meal the diners had no suggestions.
