Happy Thoughts

Barry Pett was happy to have Horizons Edge donate $100 to the Interact Club.

Rudy Macchi was sad and happy that Saint Mel's is graduating the last 8th grade class this year.

Herb Goodick remembered his participation on D-Day 60 years ago. Thank you, Herb!

John Dugger was proud that a fellow classmate from the Rhode Island School of Design was the chief architect for Washington's World War II Memorial.

Greg Bover was happy his son decided to attend the Rhode Island School of Design this fall. Greg was also happy to have witnessed the astronomical event of Venus crossing the Sun.

Jim Perry and Bruce Horne were happy their children graduated from Rockport High School.

Mike Linquata was happy to have had the opportunity to go to the dedication of the World War II Memorial in Washington.  Mike is working very hard to have a WWII memorial built in Gloucester.

Barry Pett was happy to honor Mike Linquata as a POW during WWII.

Mike Costello was happy to be celebrating small business week.

Ruth Pino was unhappy with all the hot topping work being performed in Gloucester, but she'll be happier riding on the new and improved roadways.

Cheryl Collins is happy to be hitting the road with her eye care business.  Cheryl will be launching a new addition to her business, Onsite Eyewear from Ocean Optical.

Sinikka Nogelo announced that she is in love with her physical therapist.

Fines

Don Sudbay and David Slade paid fines for having  pictures in the paper.  The Interact Cub ran the meeting and the fines were fast and furious.  Lets just say the meeting was a lot of fun. Good job!

    Club News

Remember that June 22 will be Sam Miceli Day at the club.  Please make sure you attend. The day will be a special tribute to Sam for all his years of service.  A special meal will be served, and we'll have a program honoring Sam and his retirement as our club Secretary. The meeting will take place at our regular meeting time.

Howard Frisch is taking orders for new club shirts to be worn starting at the  Pancake Breakfast.  The choice is yellow or blue, please see Howard to sign up.  The cost is $20.00, a heck of a value! We want a professional look when we gather as a group for a function.  First impressions are everything!

Winners and Losers... Bruce Horne won the beverage of choice. Josh Arnold won the money, and Bruce Horne won the flowers.  Alex Delis won the card raffle and the Japanese pottery.

Speakers....  Joe Ciolino spoke about representing the club at his trip to the 95th Rotary International Convention held recently in Osaka, Japan.

Lunch Rating...   Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on baked haddock and dessert.  The dinners at my table gave the food 5 stars.  When asked what would improve the meal the diners had no suggestions.
