No birthdays were reported today. Dennis Acker is celebrating his 13 "wonderful"years of marriage. The Ackers are also celebrating their daughter's Maya's 2nd birthday.
Vacations
Becky Sumner vacationed in Clearwater, Florida, Scott Chernov had some family time, Joe Parisi went to Cape Cod, Rudy Macchi went to Aruba, and Barry Pett spent 4 days at Beverly Hospital. (The boy is OK !)
Happy Thoughts
Cayte Ward was happy to announce that the Dine Around benefit for the AGH was another success.
Mike Costello was happy his wife is being inducted into the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mike was also happy his son concluded 4 years of good basketball. Congrats to all the Costello's.
Ruth Pino was happy that Charlene Glynn had an extra pair of gloves during the band fixer upper. Ruth was also happy to have Josh Arnold at the band stand telling everybody how to do their job.
Jim McKenna was happy to be celebrating his son Owen's first step.
Sinikka Nogello was happy that John Scuccimarra had coffee for all at the shopping spree held at 6 AM at Shaw's.
Pat Thorpe was happy the rain held off for the Chamber fund raiser. No rain for the Chamber Golf Tournament? What's next, peace in the Middle East?
Barry Pett was happy he has a clean bill of health from his doctors.
Fines
Acting President Jim Marr fined Rotarians who did not help out at the bandstand.
Joe Ciolino was fined for not having the appropriate work shoe on. Question: define what is a work shoe; I work in my shoes all the time!
Bruce Horne was fined for a little road rage incident, and also for calling fellow members of his exercise group his "Harem".
Rudy Macchi had a restaurant fine levied.
Ruth Pino and Mary Black had a late fines.
Rick Doucette was fined for leaving 18 huge divots during the recent Chamber Golf Tournament
Rudy Macchi was fined for having his photo in the District Newsletter.
Club News
Remember our next meeting will be meeting at the Catfish Grill. The restaurant is on East Main Street, next to the convince store/ gas station.
Winners and Losers... Herb Goodick won the beverage of choice. Herb won the money, and Joe Parisi won the flowers. No winners today in the card raffle.
Speakers.... Donna Lee Rubin, PDG and Rotoplast Ambassador for our district, spoke about the up coming trip to Barquisimento, Venezuela. The club donated $500 and the Interact Club donated another $500, which will pay for 2 operations. Donna Lee thanked us for our generosity.
Lunch Rating... Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on turkey rollup and fries. The dinners at my table gave the food 3 stars. When asked what would improve the meal the diners had no suggestions.
