     Donna Morris had Pam Pescatore of the Topsfield branch office of Banknorth.  Jim McKenna had David Knowlton, our guest speaker today, as his guest.

Interact Club

     Interact members were not present today.

Makeups

 Birthdays & Anniversaries

    Jim McKenna celebrated his birthday today.  No anniversaries were reported today.

Vacations

    David Babson went to Saint Kits.  Howard Frisch went to Sarasota, Florida, Jon Morse went to Richmond, Virginia, and David Slade went to Newport Beach, California.

Happy Thoughts

    Mike Costello was happy to announce the birth of another grandchild, weighing in at 8 pounds.  Congrats to all of the Costello's!

    Joanne Carbone was happy to have had the President and CEO visit Greycliff.

    Jon Morse was happy to have attended the christening of his twin grandchildren.

    Bill Mantz was happy to have been able to play golf with a broken rib.

    David Slade was happy to have had two daughters run in the Boston Marathon.  

    Mike Linquata was happy to have his family and business honored by the Gloucester City Council for all the community services his family is involved with.

     Scott Chernov was happy to be tested by Charlene Glynn's new eye exam machine which does not use eye dilation as part of the process.

     Cheryl Collins was happy to have survived the ride in the back of the "little bus" to the District Conference.

      Carole Sharoff was pleasantly surprised to find that when her parent's house was put on the market, a bidding war commenced. 

Fines

      Acting President Joe fined any Rotarians who did not make either the Interacts car wash or the Rotary Track Meet.

       Rotarians who have not paid for their Sweep tickets (you can keep the tickets!) were fined.

    Club News

       Bruce Horne is looking for sponsors for our webpage.  Please let Bruce know if you wish to continue sponsoring a page of if you want to be a new listing.

       David Stotzer reported on the success of the Interact Car wash.  The club raised $1475 during the Saturday event.  David  thanked Josh Arnold , Tony Carrao, and Charlene Glynn for the help.  50 kids worked 3 shifts to make the fundraiser a success.

       Leo Bergeron reported on the Supermarket Sweep .  Ticket sales were $7581, the Interact Club donated $1000 for a total of $9189.70.  Cost for printing was $353, second prize was $250, for a net of just under $8600.

        Joe Parisi has put out a plea for landscapers to volunteer their time to fell some large trees at Stage Fort Park.  If you know of anyone, please contact Joe Parisi.

         Steve Kaity will be putting some finishing touches on the next fund raiser for the playground.  The Club will be selling trees, benches and picnic tables. 

         John Dugger has designed a sign for the project; it will go up soon


Winners and Losers...Tony Carrao won the beverage of choice, Brad Pierce won the money, and Jon Morse won the flowers.  No winners today in the card raffle.

Speakers....  David Knowlton, the City of Gloucester Engineer, was introduced by Jim McKenna.  David talked about the separation project for sewer and water which the Federal Government has mandated for the city.

Lunch Rating...   Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on antipasto and chicken caciatore .  The dinners at my table gave the food 5+ stars.  When asked what would improve the meal the diners suggested it was primo!
