    The next Rotary Moment will be given by Joanne Carbone, followed by Scott Chernov and Cheryl Collins.

    

 Birthdays & Anniversaries

    No birthdays were reported today.  Rudy celebrated the third year of his divorce.  I do not know who is happier Rudy, or his ex-wife!

 

Vacations

     Scott Chernov went to Vale, Colorado, Jim Marr went to Wells, Maine, Don Sudbay Jr. went to Boulder, Colorado, and Rick Doucette went to the other Cape.

 

Happy Thoughts

      President Greg was happy with the installation of C. B Fisk's latest organ in Roanake, Virginia.

      Brad Pierce was happy that  Rudy can get married again.  Brad was also happy his wife's back operation was successful.

      Don Sudbay Jr. was happy his daughter graduated from college.

      David McKechnie was happy his team won their little league game.

      Sinikka Nogelo was happy her daughter's baby shower went well.

      Jim Perry was happy to be treated to a Red Sox game for a Father's Day gift.

      Mike Costello was happy to announce the Small Business Owner of theYear is awarded to Genie and Don Sudbay.  Congrats to the Sudbay's.

       Cheryl Collins was happy to be meeting in East Gloucester.

       Joe Ciolino welcomed the club to Ward One, the most beautiful ward in the City.

           

    Club News

       Donna Marie D'Agostino, District Governor 2004-2005, has asked our own Ruddy Macchi to become the District Vocational Service Chair.  Congrats to Rudy, you will do us proud!

       Remember the Paul Harris Dinner honoring Steve Kaity,  selected by our club, and Sandy Favazza,  selected by the Interact Club, for Paul Harris Awards.  The location is at the Elks on Bass Rocks, the date is Wednesday, May 26 (no regular meeting on the 25th), cocktail hour starting at 5:30 pm and dinner at 6:30.  Cost is $25 for Rotarians and $36 for guests.

       Please let Nina and Jim Perry know ASAP if you are going.  Please remember that a Paul Harris Award is the highest honor we can bestow.  This is a mandatory attendance event, please, if you are in the country.

 


Winners and Losers... No one won the beverage of choice.  Gaye Brown won the money, and Joe Parisi won the flowers.  No winners today in the card raffle.

 

Speakers.... Jim McKenna introduced our speaker today, Carol Seamens, the Director of the Gloucester Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol.The focus of the GMCA is an "initiative that unites parents, schools, law enforcement, businesses, youth, church, and community groups to change policies and practices to reduce youth access to alcohol."

 

Lunch Rating...   Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on salad and pasta The dinners at my table gave the food 5 stars.  When asked what would improve the meal the diners  had no suggestions.
