    Roger Corbin from the New Bedford Club, Oscar Padgen from the Topsfield Club, and Eleanor Hoy from the Rockport Club.

    Mary Saris was a guest of Mike Costello.  Tony Corrao had Bob Vieo as his guest today.

 

Interact Club

    Interact members  present today include: Alicia Aiello, John Oliver, Alison Musie and Daley Pratt.

 

Makeups

     Jim Marr, Don Sudbay Jr., and Joe Ciolino all made up at the 50th Anniversary dinner for the Rockport Club.  Barry Pett made up in Haverhill.

    The next  Rotary Moment will be given by Josh Arnold, followed by David Babson and Bruce Baine.

 

    

 Birthdays & Anniversaries

    John Dugger celebrated his birthday today.  Jon Morse celebrated 39 "wonderful" years of marriage this week. 

 

Vacations

     Joe Parisi went on his annual  male bonding golf trip to Cape Cod.  Sue Todd also went to Cape Cod for a vacation.

 

Happy Thoughts

      Mike Costello is happy to be hiring an Interact member as a summer intern for the Chamber of Commerce.  Mike Costello was also happy to have District honor his son Chris with a Paul Harris award during a district conference.  Cathy Ciluffo was happy to have her husband as her guest at Rotary today.  Mike Linquata was happy and honored to be this year's recipient of the Paul Harris Award.  Howard Frisch was happy to have received the Small Business Person of the Year Award.  Congrats to Mike and Howard.  Dave Stotzer was happy his wife received her masters degree this month.  David McKechnie had a come-to-Jesus experience on an airliner that had sprung a fuel leak and had to make an emergency landing.   All went well, and David made up with his Creator!   Julie La Fontaine was happy that the Empty Bowl Dinner was again a huge success.  John Dugger was happy his wife came back from her travels to China.  Cheryl Collins was happy to find out she is not a roofer in the making.  Bruce Horne was happy that Gorton's acquired a leading national shrimp company.

 

Fines

 

       President Joe fined members who did not show up to help or contribute to the bandstand cleanup this year.  Members who have still not brought a prospective member to a Rotary Lunch were fined.

 Stage Fort Park Centennial Project

     Please consider signing on as a sponsor of our Centennial Project - The Stage Fort Park Playground Sponsor Levels include - Gold Sponsorship, $1000 will purchase a picnic table, Sliver -$650 will purchase a bench, and Bronze - $400 will purchase a tree. All sponsors will be acknowledged on a display at the playground.


Winners and Losers...No winner of the beverage of choice,  Pat Thorpe won the money, and Brad Pierce won the flowers.  No winners today in the card raffle.

 

Speakers.... Former member  Miriam E. Pett of Adult Care Solutions talked about assessments, consultation, training and care management of a "Green House" assisted living facilities.  Mary Sarris talked about First Jobs Intern Program.

 

Lunch Rating...   Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on soup, rollups and salad.  The dinners at my table gave the food 5 stars.
