Visiting Rotarians
A special Rotarian from Gloucester, England came for a visit today. Tony Tellis,the new incoming president of his club, and his wife came with greetings from Gloucester, England.

Carole Sharoff had Tracy O'Neill, a potential new member, as her guest today. Don Sudbay Jr. had Fred Slicker, our guest speaker, as his guest today. Greg Bover's son Nick was his guest today.
Interact Club
Interact members present today include Loren Goddena, Fitz Lufkin, Kyle Gremolde, and Jessica Parisi. Fitz Lufkin spoke about his goals and his family.

Happy Thoughts
Bob Ryan was happy to announce he graduated this month from Suffix University with a Masters in Public Administration. Brian McCook was happy to have his son return from Germany. Sinikka Nogelo was happy her niece has graduated from Brown University this year, and Sinikka was also happy to have President Jim taking some video of the Stage Fort Park installation for the Cape Ann Report. Kevin McAveeney had a Red Sox happy thought. Sue Ellis was happy her child was inducted in to the National Honor Society. Carole Sharoff had a wet Red Sox experience with her son and his friends. Julie LaFontane was happy the food pantry had a good May. Steve Kaity was happy that after four years of planning and fundraising we have completed some work on the project. Christopher Farmer was happy to have visitors from Gloucester, England. Christopher remembered that he once had applied for a position in 1983 in the Gloucester, England School system. Christopher was also happy to be successful in trying out his new salt water rod and catching four stripped bass. Todd Tanger was happy to announce that he and his wife are expecting the birth of twins this year. Cheryl Collins was happy to have her 14 year old son get a work permit. Ann Margret Ferrante was happy that Fran Mondello's daughter is doing well.
Fines
President Jim fined members who did not attend or supply some food and drinks for the workers at the park project. David Kenney was fined for selling a Styrofoam cake (the display) for Charlie Fosters birthday party. Evidently the bakery at Shaw's Eastern Ave cannot tell a real cake from a fake one made of styrofoam. Charlie Foster was fined for his photo in the GDT's. Tony Corrao had a cell phone fine. Mike Costello was fined for having the messiest desk in Gloucester, some might say North of Boston...
Club News
June 6 is the date the Interact Club comes in and runs our meeting. Fine are on the heavy side, but it will be a fun meeting!
June 6 at 6 PM is the date and time for the last Director's Meeting in President Jim's year. The meeting is very significant in that the funds we have all been raising this year are disbursed by the club's directors. The evening will be a pot luck supper. Board members and spouses or significant others are encouraged to attend. The location is Casa Ciolino, 28 High Popples Road. Check with President Jim for details.
Gloucester Rotary Golf Outing versus Rockport Rotary Club on Monday, June 12th. It's a 1pm shotgun start at Bass Rocks Golf course with food/libations afterwards at the 19th hole. Final price notice within a few days. (We are looking for between 12 and 14 players.)Need commitment to play. Please email Bruce Horne your commitment to play ASAP.
Winners and Losers... No one gave a Life Refection today. Kevin McAveeney won the money, and the flowers were given to our visitors from Gloucester, England. No winners today in the card raffle.
Speakers.... Don Sudbay Jr., introduced Fred Slicker from the Cape Ann Climate Change Network. Fred talked about conservation and pollution of our air and climate.
