Don Sudbay spent 8 days in Palm Springs. Joe Parisi went on an 8 day Caribbean Cruise. Todd Tanger spent 3 days in Miami. Mike Sarraf went to Toronto.
Happy Thoughts
Christopher Farmer was happy not to be wearing a tie since school was not in session today. Barry Pett participated in Cadillac's CTS-V race held recently in New York. Ray Lamont was happy the election is over. Don Sudbay Jr., was happy his 10/31 sales were ahead of last year's new vehicle sales. John Dugger was happy to have been rescued in a boating incident. Jon Morse was happy about the Linsky Scholarship. Dave Stotzer was happy about Santa photos.
Fines
Marc Sandler paid a fine to get back the credit card he left at the check-in table. Leo Bergeron was fined for wearing a tee shirt and white socks. Rotarians who were wearing a blue shirt were fined. Members who have ever impersonated Santa were fined.
Club News
. Marc Sandler reflected on his Presidency in 1974-75.
Tony Corrao announced that this year, December 9th will be Teddy Bear Tuesday. Members are being asked to bring in a new teddy bear to the meeting. The bears will be donated to the Gloucester Police Department for use in comforting traumatized children. Teddy bears have a calming effect on young children during a crisis.
ABC of Rotary Moment
John Rando is up for next Tuesday's ABC of Rotary Moment, Bob Ryan is first backup, Marc Sandler is the second backup, and the third backup is Mike Sarraf. Please have your ABC of Rotary Moment ready.
Winners and Losers... In lieu of a Rotary Moment, members who are Veterans talked about their service. Christopher Farmer won the money, and Ellen, our server, won the flowers. No winners today in the card raffle.
Speakers.... Sander Schultz, a Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Gloucester, talked about emergency preparedness on Cape Ann.
