      Rob Carver, John Thompson, and Earl Kishida were all visiting from the Rockport Club.

Interact Club

     Interact members  present today include Zach Trotsky and Chris SpreerChris Spreer spoke about his activities in school, his family, and his future college plans.

Makeups

     Joe Ciolino, Steve Kaity, Joe Parisi, Josh Arnold, John Morse, Jim Marr, Carole Sharoff, and Don Sudbay Jr. all made up at a Director's Meeting on Tuesday.

 

A Rotary Moment

    The next  Rotary Moment will be given by David Mc Ardle, followed by David McKechnie, and Jim McKenna.

    

 Birthdays & Anniversaries

     No birthdays were reported today.  Greg Bover was celebrating 24 "wonderful" years of marriage today.

   

Vacations

      Jim Perry went to Marco Island, David Babson went scalloping on Martha's Vineyard, John Thompson went to Florida, and Howard Frisch went to Sorrento, Italy.

 

Happy Thoughts

      Bob Ryan was jealous of Jim Perry playing in Marco Island. Julie Sidon was happy that her mother was celebrating her 88th birthday.  Howard Frisch was happy to thank the Ocean Optical group for his new glasses. Jon Morse was happy to have made it to the Pat's game after an incident utilizing "features" on his Mercedes rendered it immovable for 3 days.The moral of Jon's experience is to "understand your car's "features" before you try to use them." (The problem could have been fixed quickly by "On-Star"!) Steve Kaity was happy to announce that a former Rotary scholarship winner in 1964 gave back to the community with a $3,000.00 check for future scholarships.   

Fines

 

       President Joe fined David McKechnie and Rudy Macchi for not having a Rotary Moment ready today.New Rotarians who procrastinated taking their picture during the meeting also paid a fine.

 

    Club News

Thank You Mary Black for taking notes for this weeks Rotator!

 

      The  Holiday Party will be held at the Cape Ann Bowling LanesJoanne Carbone and Alex Delis are Santa's Elves, planning this year's party.  The date is December 15, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM .   The Holiday Party will be in lieu of a meeting for that week.  

       Joe Parisi and his playground committee has picked November 27th and December 4th as the last dates we can go to Stage Fort Playground for a work party for this year. The time will be from 8 AM to 12 NOON.  The project has received its official DEP number, so we may proceed.  Please pencil in the dates and try to be there for the start of construction of the new Stage Fort Park Children's Playground.

 Stage Fort Park Centennial Project

     Please consider signing on as a sponsor of our Centennial Project - The Stage Fort Park Playground Sponsor Levels include - Gold Sponsorship, $1000 will purchase a picnic table, Sliver -$650 will purchase a bench, and Bronze - $400 will purchase a tree. All sponsors will be acknowledged on a display at the playground.


Winners and Losers...Mary Black won the beverage of choice. Don Sudbay Jr. won the money, and Howard Frisch won the flowers.  No winners today in the card raffle.

 

Speakers.... A business meeting was held today. 

 

Lunch Rating...   Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on butternut squash lasagna with salad and carrot cake dessert.  The dinners at my table gave the food 5 stars.
