Interact Club

 

The Interact Club members were not  present today.  

 

 

Makeups

    Sinikka Nogelo made up online, Roger Corbin made up in Bedford, and Julie LaFontaine made up in Ipswich. 

    Rotarians can now make up on line. Check out www.rotaryeclubone.org , allow yourself 30 minutes to complete the makeup and make sure you print off a receipt of having completed your on line makeup.  Please hand  your receipt to Carole Sharoff in order for the attendance records to be adjusted.

Vacations

 

 Don Sudbay spent 2 days in Saratoga Springs.  Bill Flygare went to Smithfield, Rhode Island. Dave Babson spent 5 days in Martha's Vineyard.  Carole Sharoff went to New Orleans with her son. 

 

Happy Thoughts

 

    Greg Bover was happy to proclaim Tony Corrao the "Fish Box Derby's Best Friend" for repairing the roof of a storage trailer that the Derby organization  uses to store all of their equipment.  Jim Cooke was happy to announce the birth of his daughter, Sophia.  The baby came into this world weighing 7 pounds.  Chris Costello was happy to surprise his wife for her birthday with tickets to Carmen.  Chris also noted that Carmen was the first opera he has ever attended.  Matt Langis was happy  his grandmother was fitted with a pacemaker recently and all went well.  Greg Bover was happy that C.B.Fisk reception attendance reached 400 people.  The occasion was the shipping of the company's latest completed pipe organ.  David Stotzer was happy to have taken his mother, who was celebrating her 90th birthday,  to Tom Shea's for a lovely birthday dinner.  John Dugger was pleasantly surprised with some concert tickets purchased by his wife.  Julie Geary was happy to enroll her grandson in karate classes. 

 

Fines

 

 President Ruth fined Rotarians who did not stay up to see the Patriots lose their game.  Mark Grenier was fined for disrespecting the Office of the President.  Isaac Wilheim was fined for losing the President's gavel today. 

 

Club News

   President Ruth presented Beach Warden Ed Park a Rotary citation for being such a caring friend of Rotary.  Ed has consistently helped our out club's projects at Stage Fort Park, and the Wheel Chair projects for Wingaersheek Beach, Good Harbor Beach, and Stage Fort Park. 

 

 Just a note that the club will be meeting at the Tavern on Tuesday, due to a scheduling conflict at the Elks.

Winners and Losers:    Bill Flygare gave the Rotary Moment today.  Greg Bover won the $10.00, Tony Corrao won the flowers, and no winners in the card raffle today.

 

 

Speaker today:  Mike Sarraf introduced Rachel Williams, District 7930 Literacy Program Coordinator. Rachel spoke regarding international programs that Rotary is supporting in Pakistan.
