Birthdays & Anniversaries
No birthdays were reported today. President Sinikka and husband Joe are celebrating 41 "wonderful" years of marriage. Mike Costello is celebrating his 30th anniversary of working at the Chamber of Commerce.
Vacations
President Sinikka was happy to have explored Route 1 North. (I guess that is what couples married 41 years enjoy as a trip?) Bill Flygare was happy to be in Florida visiting the grandchildren. Julie LaFontaine was happy visiting Michigan for 4 days.
Happy Thoughts
Brad Pierce was happy to have made up at the Hamilton/Wenham Club. Brad had not visited the building where that club meets in 40 years. Brad was happy that the building was well restored. Roger Armstrong is happy to be remodeling the third floor of his house, and is very happy the sheet rock walls are complete. Mike Costello was happy that Northwestern beat Michigan 21-14.Greg Bover was happy the restoration work on the Saunders House of the Sawyer Free Library is well underway. Greg was also happy that the new colors of the Saunders House will be a combination of two colors, Bashful White and Blush White. President Sinikka was happy that her biopsy came back with good news.
Fines
Tony Verga had catch-up fines for photos in the Beacon and the GDT's. Mike Costello was also fined for photos in the newspapers. Rotarians wearing either a sweater or suspenders were fined today by President Sinikka. David McKechnie had a Shriners fine imposed.
Club News
. Mike Costello announced today that member David Kenney was transferred to a new Shaw's location. David was a super member and we all wish him well in his new store and community.
ABC of Rotary Moment
Bob Ryan is up for next Tuesday's ABC of Rotary Moment, Marc Sandler is first backup, Mike Sarraf is the second backup, and the third backup is David Slade. Please have your ABC of Rotary Moment ready.
Winners and Losers... John Rando gave an ABC of Rotary Moment. President Sinikka won the money, and Ruth Pino won the flowers. No winners today in the card raffle.
Speakers.... David McKechnie introduced our speaker today, Dave Faulkner, Director of the Shriners Hospital in Boston. Dave spoke about the history and future goals of the hospital.
