Interact Club
Interact members members present today include Caitlin Cole, Tuany Lopes, and Jake Alves. Caitlin spoke about school activities, family and future plans. The above photo shows two Interact members volunteering at the Food Pantry for Thanksgiving. Approximately 21,837 pounds of food was collected. The Interact Club members sorted, boxed, and stocked the donated food. The GHS Interact Club volunteers at the Food Pantry on a regular basis.

Mark Grenier made up in Willemstad, Curacao, Greg Bover made up in Virginia, and Dave Stotzer and Scott Chernov made up at a Interact meeting.
Birthdays & Anniversaries
Rudy Macchi celebrated his birthday in grand style today with an A1 birthday song and an outstanding cake (although I was not offered a piece, it looked outstanding from afar, way way far away.) Rudy celebrated a milestone birthday. Mike Costello is celebrating 28 years at the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce. Sinikka and Joe Nogelo are celebrating 39 "wonderful" years of marriage. Jim and Nina Perrycome in with second place this week with 33 "wonderful" years of marriage. Scott Chernov is celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the purchase his chiropractic practice and his introduction to Gloucester.
Vacations
Bruce Horne spent 9 days in Orlando plus 2 days on business in Brunswick, Georgia. Mark Grenier vacationed in Curacao, Jim Perry vacationed on Marco Island. Julie Geary spent some time in Fort Myer's Beach, Florida, and Joe Paris went to Las Vegas.
Happy Thoughts
Greg Bover visited Lexington, Virginia, on organ business and had the opportunity to visit with the Lexington Rotary Sunrise Club. Bruce Horne was happy to have visited his daughter at school. Bruce was also happy to have toured Epcot Center on a Segway Personal Transport. Joe Parisi was happy to see his daughter Jessica receive a Distinquinished Community Service Award in front of 650 people attending a meeting of the Boston Archdiocesan. Joe's daughter Jessica is also a Co-President of Interact this year. Congrats Jessica. Rick Doucette was happy the YMCA Auction went well. Speaking of the auction, David McKechnie was happy the Entertainment Committee for the event was able to get Tina Turner to entertain for the evening - NOT!!! Ruth Pino was happy to have attended some auctions, the GHS sports auction raised over $70,000, and the YMCA auction featured Rick Doucette doing a cartwheel!
Fines
Mike Costello was fined for Marc Grenier's vacation which he secured at the Chamber of Commerce Auction.
Club News
Sal Frontiero, Sue Ellis, Carol Sharoff and Mike Costello won gift certificates to Cape Ann Bowling Lanes . The top 4 highest scores were awarded the certificates from President Don. Thanks to President Don for donating the certificates!
Joe Paris has decided to give back to the club $500 from his card raffle winnings. Joe earmarked the money given back to be used for the Stage Fort Park Project - thank you,Joe.
President Don inducted new member Dom Niscastro. Dom is the Editor of the Gloucester Daily Times. Please introduce yourself and give Dom a big Rotary welcome.

Winners and Losers... Greg Bover gave a Rotary Moment. Dave Stotzer won the money, and Cheryl Collins won the flowers. Joe Parisi won the big card raffle today.
Speakers.... Bruce Horne introduced out speaker today, Justin Lock. Justin played with the Boston Pops and the Boston Symphony Orchestra for many years. Justin spoke about his experiences through the years playing bass with the orchestra.
