Happy Thoughts
Mike Costello was happy Northwestern won their last game, 24 to 21. Cheryl Collins was happy to be enjoying the ocean view out of our windows today. Sue Todd had a happy thought about her granddaughter. Rick Doucette was happy to take his stepson to see Sponge Bob Square Pants, playing at the local cinema.
Fines
President Joe fined Rotarians who have not had their photos taken for the website. Fines were also levied for Rotarians who have not filled in their birthdays on the website. Dave Stotzer was fined for coming to Rotary at the end of November with the top down on his convertible.
Club News
Thank You to George Roark for taking notes for this weeks Rotator
The Holiday Party will be held at the Cape Ann Bowling Lanes. Joanne Carbone and Alex Delis are Santa's Elves, planning this year's party. The date is December 15, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. The Holiday Party will be in lieu of a meeting for that week.
David McKechnie, representing the Gloucester Little League, was presented with the first check of a 3 year commitment. $2100 will be paid in 3 installment checks of $700 for three years.
Stage Fort Park Centennial Project
Please consider signing on as a sponsor of our Centennial Project - The Stage Fort Park Playground Sponsor Levels include - Gold Sponsorship, $1000 will purchase a picnic table, Sliver -$650 will purchase a bench, and Bronze - $400 will purchase a tree. All sponsors will be acknowledged on a display at the playground.
Winners and Losers... George Roark won the beverage of choice. Sue Todd won the money, and Mike Linquata won the flowers. The Classic Cooks pumpkin pie was won by Barry Pett. Mark Grenier won today in the card raffle.
Speakers.... Joanne Cabone introduced our guest speaker today, Pat Lovone. Pat spoke about Alzheimer's Disease, its symptoms, and the care of patients afflicted by the disease.
Lunch Rating... Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on chicken or beef chili and a salad with great desserts. The dinners at my table gave the food 4 stars.
