Visiting Rotarians

      Mark Linsky, a former Junior Rotarian, was visiting from Saratoga, California, and Eleanor Hoy was visiting from the Rockport Club.

Interact Club

     Interact members  present today include; Zack Trotski, Felisha Aiello and John Oliver.

     Steve Kaity made up at an Interact Meeting.

    The next  Rotary Moment will be given by Jim McKenna followed by Fran Mondello and Donna Morris.

    

 Birthdays & Anniversaries

 

     Jim Perry celebrated his birthday today.  No anniversaries were reported today.

 

Vacations

     Todd Tanger, Gaye Brown, and Josh Arnold all visited Florida.  John Dugger went to Ohio.

 

Happy Thoughts

 

     John Dugger was happy that Ohio State beat Michigan in college football.  Rick Doucete was happy to win a Flag Football Championship after 20 years.  Now Rick can retire a winner.  Barry Pett was happy that the brush was being cut at Stage Fort Park.  Brad Pierce was happy that Joe Parisi saved his receipt for the wrecked chainsaw he purchased at the  Building Center.  Steve Kaity was a proud father, announcing that his daughter won a Sawyer Medal.  Greg Bover was happy to have his son home for Thanksgiving, and unhappy with the poison ivy he picked up at Stage Fort Park. Dave Stotzer was happy the Interact Club made the GDT's front page this week - twice!

    

Fines

 

    President Joe fined Tony Corrao and Rudy Macchi for too much chatter during the meeting.  Dave Stotzer was fined for not telling the visiting Interact Club members that the meeting place had changed for this week.  Barry Pett was fined for taking the best parking space the Manor Inn has to offer. Mark Grenier was fined for winning last week's card raffle..

      The Holiday Party will be held at the Cape Ann Bowling LanesJoanne Carbone and Alex Delis are Santa's Elves, planning this years's party.  The date is December 15, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. The Holiday Party will be in lieu of a meeting for that week.  No meeting will be held on December 14.  

        Thank You notes were received from the family of Josh Arnold for our donation to the Arnold Book Trust.  The Cape Ann Food Pantry sent a thank you for our September and October donations. Charlotte Harbor Rotary Foundation, Inc. for Punta Gorda, Forida sent us a big thank you for our donation of $500 to the victims of Hurricane Charley.

 

 Stage Fort Park Centennial Project

     Please consider signing on as a sponsor of our Centennial Project - The Stage Fort Park Playground Sponsor Levels include - Gold Sponsorship, $1000 will purchase a picnic table, Sliver -$650 will purchase a bench, and Bronze - $400 will purchase a tree. All sponsors will be acknowledged on a display at the playground.


Winners and Losers... No winner of the beverage of choice.  Todd Tanger won the money, and Josh Arnold won the flowers.  No winners today in the card raffle.

 

Speakers....  Juni Van Dyke, Art Director at the Senior Center, spoke about her 10 years of teaching art to Gloucester seniors.

 

Lunch Rating...   Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on steak tips, potatoes, asparagus, salad and assorted desserts.  The dinners at my table gave the food 5 stars.
