Interact Club

 

The Interact Club members present are Kalya Burke, and Erica Aiello.  Erica spoke about her future goals today.   

 

 Makeups

   

Tom Dexter and Bill Flygare made up at the Manchester/Essex Club.  Terri Jones made up on line. 

    Rotarians can now make up on line. Check out www.rotaryeclubone.org , allow yourself 30 minutes to complete the makeup and make sure you print off a receipt of having completed your on line makeup.  Please hand  your receipt to Carole Sharoff in order for the attendance records to be adjusted.

 

 Birthdays and Anniversaries

 

  Rudy Macchi and Ed Collard both celebrated their birthdays this week.  Sinikka and Joe Nogelo celebrated 42 "wonderful" years of marriage.  Matt Langis is celebrating his anniversary at the Rockport National Bank.  Eric Noble is celebrating 9 "wonderful" years of marriage. 

 

 Vacations

 

 Bruce Horne spent 10 day sin Orlando, Tom Dexter went to San Francisco for 5 days.  Rudy Macchi went to Gettysburg and Washington D.C. Todd Tanger went to Miami for 3 days. Mike Linquata spent 4 weeks in Florida. 

 

Happy Thoughts

 

 Bob Ryan was happy that Stop and Shop donated 108 turkey dinners for the food pantry.  Brad Pierce liked today's dessert.  Carole Sharoff was happy  her son Joanathan is doing well playing football.  Carole was also happy to be the club's secretary, having the opportunity to communicate by e-mail a Rotarian from Gloucester, England.  Steve Dexter was happy  the City Hall Restoration Fundraiser took in $15,000 over the weekend.  Dan Ottenheimer was happy  his daughter had her Bas Mitzvah this past weekend,  all went extremely well.  Julie LaFontaine was happy with all the community spirit in Gloucester.  Julie thanked the Interact Club for working the event, Pat Thorpe and crew for helping pack groceries, and Brad Pierce for directing traffic at the Food Pantry parking lot.  Todd Tanger was happy that Greg Bover gave his daughter's Brownie Troop a tour of C.B. Fisk and Company.  Rudy Macchi was happy  he purchased a new Sudbay automobile.  David McKechnie was happy  the North Shore YMCA raised $167,000 for its last auction.  David was also happy that Rick Doucette can still do a cartwheel. 

 

Fines

 

President Ruth fined Rucy Macchi and Meredith Fine for cell phone use.  Chamber Board  of Directors who did not volunteer or attend the Chamber House Tour were fined.  Carole Sharoff was fined for her son's photo in the newspaper.  Steve Dexter was fined for wearing red socks with his black tie attire for the City Hall Fashion Show.

December·· 8 – Julie is working with the Culinary Arts kids – no menu yet

December 15 – Eggplant rotini, ziti and sauce, salad.  Spumoni for dessert.

December 22· - Stuffed risotto chicken with cranberry glaze, salad. Pumpkin roll for dessert.

December 29 – Soup and sandwich.· Lemon meringue pie for dessert.

Family Holiday Party will be on Saturday, December 5. at 10 Blackburn Center at the Blackburn industrial park,  2:OO PM to 5:00 PM. Please come whether you have children with you or not.  There will be plenty of space for “grownup” talk and socializing.  Santa will attend (bring a gift for each child you bring). Thomas the Train will be giving rides, and there will be cookie decorating and other activities. There will be assorted food and beverages for kids and adults.  $15 for Rotarians, $25 for their guests, and $5 for each child. RSVP with the number attending to Ruth Pino.

Winners and Losers:···Julie Geary gave the Rotary Moment today. Tom Dexter won the $10.00, Don Sudbay won the flowers and gave them to our speaker today, and we had no winners in the card raffle.
