Happy Thoughts

President Sinikka was happy for one of our Interact members today - it was  Kaylie Maternan's first time voting in an election.  Charlie Foster was happy Howard Frisch can quote Robert Frost's poem about an accountant's job.  Bruce Horne was happy to be looking forward to a 10 day vacation in Florida.  Roger Armstrong was happy he was going south and the price of gas is down.  Rudy Macchi was just happy today.  Christopher Farmer was happy he was able to still walk after riding a horse.  ( Christopher has not been on horseback for 12 years.) Christopher is still happy about the Red Belly Sapsucker and the Purple Finch still hanging around Casa Farmer.  Roger Armstrong, like most everybody in the country, is happy that the election is finally over.

 Fines

Sal Frontiero was fined by President Sinikka for wearing political advertising at a Rotary Board meeting.  Any members that have not e-mailed Ruth Pino with a yes or no to participating on the Rotary Calendar were fined.  A pin fine was issued, a  a fine for all the men attending today - not one of the men sat at President Sinikka's table.

    Club News

.    Tony Corrao announced that this year, December 9th will be Teddy Bear Tuesday.  Members are being asked to bring in a new teddy bear to the meeting.  The bears will be donated to the Gloucester Police Department for use in comforting traumatized children.  Teddy bears have a calming effect on young children during a crisis.
