Happy Thoughts

Bruce Horne had a good time at Yawkey Way, entertaining himself after the Red Sox game was canceled because of rain.

Sinikka Nogelo was happy that the Sox Box Office messed up her tickets.  Sinikka was originally going on the canceled game date but received tickets for the next day instead which ended up a gorgeous day.

Steve Kaity was happy his daughter received a perfect score of 280 in language arts during her MCAS testing.

Bruce Horne was happy to have won a 3-club golf tournament and won the low gross score.

Sinikka Nogelo asked Bruce to forgive her note taking for Joe Ciolino. Evidently, the notes that went into the Rotator portrayed Bruce as a not-so-good golf player.

Scott Chernov shared the news that the Don Sudbay's Bowling Center received an award as the second best bowling center in New England.  Congrats to the Sudbays.

Anniversaries & Birthdays

Bruce Horne is celebrating his birthday today.    Joe Parisi celebrated 20 "wonderful" years of marriage.

Fines

Sinikka Nogelo was fined for a photo in the GDT"s

Don Sudbay, Shirley Conway, and Dave McArdle were assessed a late fine.

Members who have not turned in their high school pictures were fined again.

President Greg fined members who did not have their Rotary pin on today.

Vacations

Joe and Di Parisi went on a cruise to Bermuda, Dave Babson went to Martha's Vineyard, and Bill Mantz went to Arcadia National Park.

A Rotary Moment

The next Rotary Moment will be given by Jim McKenna followed by the week after by Sinikka Nogelo and Bob O'Maley

Club News

Donna Morris was inducted today by President Greg.  Please stop and introduce yourself to Donna and welcome her to the club.  Donna is the new manager at the Banknorth branch on Harbor Loop.

The board decided to raise the donation for the senior gift giving program from $15 to $20.  The board felt that the quality of the gifts the club gives out need to be upgraded.

Please remember that the Interact Lobster Roll fundraiser is next Thursday and Friday.  Please call Gay Brown or David Stotzer if your have not yet already ordered your lobster rolls.  Jim Marr still needs volunteers to help deliver the food.  Please check with Jim Marr to schedule yourself for a delivery job.

Winners and Losers... No one won the beverage of choice.  Sinikka Nogelo won the money, and Becky Sumner won the flowers.  Neil Mathews won the card raffle today splitting close to $900 with the club.

Speakers....  Mary Black introduce Christopher Farmer, our new Gloucester Superintendent of Schools,  as our guest speaker today.  Mr. Farmer talked about his past career in the UK and how he decided to move to the US.

Lunch Rating...   Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on New England boiled dinner.  The dinners at my table gave the food 5 stars.  When asked what would improve the meal the dinners no suggestions.
