      Distinct Governor Julia Phelps, Assistant District Governor Ingrid Brown,  and Chas Heberle, from Lakewood, Washington.

     No guests were reported today.

 

Interact Club

     Interact members present were Brie Napolitano and Caitlin ColeCaitlin spoke about her school activities and future goals. 

 

Makeups

      Make ups at the last Board Meeting:  Carole Sharoff, Bruce Horne, Joe Ciolino, Sinikka Nogelo, Joe Parisi, Ruth Pino, Jim Marr, Jon Morse, Barry Pett, Josh Arnold. 

     Rotarians can now make up on line.  Check out www.rotaryeclubone.org , allow yourself 30 minutes to complete the makeup and make sure you print off a receipt of having completed your on line makeup.  Please hand  your receipt to Carole Sharoff in order for the attendance records to be adjusted. 

 

 Birthdays & Anniversaries

     Howard Frisch and Joe Parisi both celebrated their birthdays this week.  Theresa and Josh Arnold are celebrating 22 "wonderful" years of marriage.  Cheryl and Dan Aparo have enjoyed   13 "wonderful" years together.  Joe Parisi was happy the Building Center is 104 years old.  David Sullivan was happy to be celebrating his son's nuptials, and his own 38 years of "wonderful" wedding bliss. 

Vacations

    Joe Parisi took a cruise to Blasé out of Florida, after which he went to visit his daughter at Norwich. Jess is trying to set up a Rotoact Club at Norwich.  George Roark went to Canada, Don Sudbay was a traveling man with visits to Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Cape Cod. 

                                                      

Happy Thoughts

    Steve Kaity had a Chamber of Commerce happy thought.  Ruth Pino was happy to have Joe and Diane Parisi as helpers.  Ruth was happy for another Chamber promotion.  Jim Marr was happy that Jess Parisi takes after her mother, Di.  Jim was also happy that Pam Marr has a new automobile, courtesy of Sudbay Motors.  Bruce Horne was happy his father-in-law is doing better.  Julie Geary can now safely run with scissors since her last child moved out of her house.  Christopher Farmer was happy to finally get a chance to vote; Christopher is a newly minted US citizen.  David Slade was happy Keith Harris is doing better and is on the mend. Bruce Horne really enjoyed enjoyed the bird lecture last week.  Greg Bover is home alone with his wife on a sabbatical in Africa, and his son going to Finland on a school internship.  Greg is now taking invitations for supper ....actually Greg is one good cook himself!

 

 Fines

     Don Sudbay paid a new car fine for Jim MarrBrad Pierce was fined for Joe Parisi mentioning his old alma mater, Norwich University.  Charles Foster was fined for locking his keys in his car while the engine was running. Mike Costello and Ruth Pino were fined by President Bruce for all the Chamber of Commerce advertising going on.

     George Roark is up for next Tuesday's  ABC of Rotary MomentMarc Sandler is first backup, and Mike Sarraf is the second backup, third backup is David Slade. Please have your   ABC of Rotary Moment ready. 

    


Winners and Losers...   Bob Ryan gave an ABC of Rotary MomentDavid Slade won the money and President Bruce gave the flowers to District Governor Julia.  No winners today in the card raffle.

 


Speakers....  District Governor Julia Phelps went over her goals for her year. She then inducted four new members to the Gloucester Rotary Club:  Dean Lavoie, Tom Gatley, David Marsh and Sheree DeLorenzo. Welcome new members!

 

 




The Rotary International Theme for 2007-2008
