Happy Thoughts
Barry Pett was reminiscing that today was the 31st anniversary of his dads passing. Tom Siemers has a somewhat unhappy thought for us today, he will be leaving us in early December to take up a new job at a hospital in Iowa. Sorry to hear the news, Tom. Jon Morse was happy the Patriots won this week, and that the Gloucester Rotary Club has finally received our 501-C3 status. Mike Linquata is happy that the restaurant expansion is done. Mike is inviting the us to attend a grand opening of the new addition to the Gloucester House on Veterans Day, November 11, from 4 to 8 PM. Ruth Pino was happy to add 10 new listings to the Rotary Calendar. Ruth is also happy to have the Chamber's Gift Expo sold out. Julie LaFontaine was happy the Cape Ann Food Pantry won a national award. Julie was happy that the Detroit Tigers made a good showing in the World Series. Donald Saunders was happy to offer to reprint the ABC's of Rotary booklet.
Fines
President Don fined Barry Pett on his winnings of the latest Chamber of Commerce drawing. Brad Pierce was happy to have a new granddaughter on the way. Howard Frish was fined by President Don for threatening to write a book called The Pittfall's of Car Leasing.
