David Kenney and Joe Parisi celebrated their birthdays today. Josh Arnold is celebrating 20 "wonderful" years of marriage, Cheryl Collins Aparo is celebrating the 11th anniversary of her business, Ocean Optical. Dave Stotzer is celebrating the 17th anniversary of Cape Ann Photography.
Vacations
Jon Morse went to San Antonio, Texas, Cheryl Collins Aparo went to a Windham Resort, Don Sudbay went to New Zealand, and Australia, Joe Parisi went to Cancun, Mexico.
Happy Thoughts
Scott Chernov was happy to have won $250 in the Chamber drawing. Josh Arnold was happy about his daughter's dancing. Dave Stotzer was happy about his dog. Scott Chernov was happy the Sox made the playoffs. Bruce Horne was happy the glass in the I. M. Pei's building (Gorton's office) is being changed to reflective glass - no more waving at Bruce during a drive by. Steve Kaity was happy to have chaperoned his daughter's dance and to have his daughter is still talking to him. Ruth Pino is happy to be taking the family to Disney World in December. Mike Costello was happy to have 135 new Chamber members, bring the total membership to 1300 +.
Fine
President Jim fined Joe Parisi and Mike Linquata for a seat belt fine. Mike Costello and Mark Grenier were fined for calling a long-time Chamber member and asking him to join. Joe Parisi was fined because Steve Dexter paid off his Building Center bill after building an addition. The payment enabled Joe and Steve's contractor to vacation for a week in Cancun.
Club News
Construction has begun at the Stage Fort Children's Park, our Centennial Project. Check it out if you get an opportunity. Mark you calendars for 2006 - a Spaghetti Supper on March 25. Location to be determined.
Winners and Losers... No won the beverage of choice. David Kenney won the money, and Ruth Pino won the flowers. Brad Pierce won a basket of teas donated from Classic Cooks. No winners today in the card raffle.
Speakers.... The club had its monthly bussiness meeting today.
