Jon Morse made up in Bethel, Maine, and the following all made up at a Calendar Committee Meeting: Gaye Brown, Tony Corrao, Steve Dexter, Joe Parisi, Brad Pierce, Ruth Pino, and Josh Arnold.
Birthdays & Anniversaries
No birthdays were reported today. Greg Bover was happy to celebrate 27 years (1/2 of his life) at C.B. Fisk.
Vacations
Bruce Bain went to the Mount Washington Resort, John Dugger went to Cape Cod, and David McKechnie and son went to Minnesota on a fishing expedition. Jon Morse spent 4 days in Bethel, Maine.
Happy Thoughts
Steve Kaity was happy that the ground has been broken for the Stage Fort Children's Park Centennial Project. Brad Pierce is happy his youngest child is pregnant, and, as a proud grandpa, Brad showed off a prize winning photo of his granddaughters. Barbara Ellis was happy to be planning a trip to Egypt. Pat Thorp was happy to be finally starting up his bank's expansion. Pat was also happy to have partnered up with the Red Cross to raise $15,000. Mike Linquata was happy that the contractor is starting to put the shovel to the ground for the WW2 Memorial. Rudy Macchi shared with the club his need for raisins and prunes, but was stopped before he ended his story. Greg Bover was happy that the 12th annual Fish Box Derby went off without a hitch.

President Jim gave out ice cream fines to Scott Chernov, Steve Kaity, and Pat Thorpe. Seat belt violators were fined again today.
Club News
Jim Perry reported a count of 101 members and guests in attendance at our annual Rotary Boat Cruise. Jim also noted that a small profit was realized. Thank you to the organizers for once again putting together a fun evening. President Jim thanked members who attended Eileen Morley's memorial service.
Date to Remember... September 29th is the Past President's Dinner to be held in the Harbor Room at 8 Norwood court off East Main Street. Please check the calendar section of our web site for more details. On October 18th the club will meet at C.B. Fisk Company for an on the road meeting. I am sure Greg Bover, our host, will have some tricks up his sleeve that will make this meeting very special. President Jim Marr is walking for the Jimmy Fund; please help him out by making a donation.
Winners and Losers... No winner of the beverage of choice. David Olson won the money, and Mike Costello won the flowers. No winners today in the card raffle.
