Peter Mitchell from Vancouver, Canada, Ingrid Brown, President of the Rockport Club, and Mark Grennier of Peabody.

Guests of Rotarians

Bill Finch, our guest speaker today, was the guest of Alex Delis. Mike Costello had Donna Morris from Banknorth (and a soon to be Rotarian) as his guest.

Interact Club

Interact members visiting today include: Lily Linquata, who spoke, Janice Worall, Christian Hoysradt, and Emily Donahue.

Makeups

     No makeups were reported today.

Happy Thoughts

Bruce Horne was happy to have played at the Ronald McDonald Charity tournament in Walpole.

John Dugger was happy that Northwestern has trained people so well that they could take a football defeat like the one they received at the hands of Ohio State during one of the school's "worst days" this year. ( Mike C. -  I never put John up to dissing Northwestern, but I love it!)

Ingrid Brown was pleased the Red Sox start the run for the pennant on October 1st.

Ruth Pino was happy Jim Marr took charge of the meeting today.

Anniversaries & Birthdays

Joe Parisi and Howard Frisch and Interact member Lily LInquata all celebrated their birthdays today.  Herb Goodick led the group in song.

Josh Arnold celebrated 18 years of marriage.  Sue Todd has been at Child Development for 23 years.  Cheryl Collins is celebrating 13 years of marriage plus Ocean Optical is 9 years old.  Joe Parisi is celebrating the Building Center 100 year anniversary and 20 years of marriage.

Fines

Bruce Horne was fined for playing nine holes and signing up for eighteen.

Rudy Macchi was fined and asked to tell evryone a story about some keys.  Evidently, Rudy helped a Rotarian "fix" the battery with keys picked up by accident from another Rotarian.  Sue Todd appreciated the help but Steve Dexter, who the keys belonged to says his key/door opening feature is now broken.  The lesson here:   Match the keys to the correct car and the doors will open!

Tony Carrao was fined for being in the paper.  There was some talk about a look alike in town

Mike Costello was also in the paper.

Don Sudbay, "Sweetie Pie," was fined big time by acting President Jim Marr for  a photo in the GDT's.  Jim Marr claimed executive privilege for his picture.

Vacations

Charlene Glynn spent a long weekend in wine tasting in Sonoma, California.

A Rotary Moment

The next Rotary Moment will be given by Neil Mathews, followed by the week after by Jim McKenna and Karl Muench.
