Happy Thoughts
David Slade was happy to be celebrating the 23rd birthday of his twin daughters.
Bob O'Maley was happy about plenty today. His daughter received her masters degree and announced her engagement. Bob is also happy to be back to Rotary after a brief absence.
Don Sudbay was happy to be celebrating the grand opening of the Bowling Center. Congrats to Don and Jeannie for a job well done. ( Editors note. I went to the grand opening and have only word to describe what Don and Jeannie have done with the Bowling Center. That word is Wow! Gloucester needed a family fun center and now it has a great one!)
Dave McKechnie was happy his wife played in a golf tournament.
Scott Chernov was unhappy that he could not make the 6 am painting of the kiosk because he had to visit his parents out of town.
Rudy Macchi was happy to see Scott grow out his hair a little longer.
Anniversaries & Birthdays
Leo Bergeron celebrated his birthday today. Scott Chernov and wife are celebrating their three month wedding anniversary.
Fines
Rudy Macchi and Mary Black were fined for being late.
Members who did not participate in the painting of the kiosk were fined.
President Greg once again fined members who have not yet handed in their high school photo (or some photo taken close to graduation). Rumor has it that the fines for members not turning in a photo are going up every week.
Joe Parisi was happy to be starting up the calendar project for '04.
Jim Marr was happy to be walking in the Police Chief run for the Jimmy Fund. Jim lives at 14 Thatcher Road just in case you want to send him a check make out to the Jimmy Fund.
Joe Ciolino was fined for some ink in the GDT's.
Vacations
Tony Corrao was vacationing in Virginia.
Julie Sidon spent time on the farm.
A Rotary Moment
The next Rotary Moment will be given by Neil Mathews followed by the week after by Jim McKenna and Jon Morse

Two people have been proposed for membership; Joan Carbone of Greycliff, and Donna Morris from Bank North.
Winners and Losers... Bob O'Maley won the beverage of choice. Ruth Pino won the money, and David Slade won the flowers. No winners today in the card raffle.
Speakers.... Charlene Glynn introduced our guest speaker today. Stephanie Eaton is the first female firefighter in the Gloucester Fire Department. Stephanie is also an EMT and a paramedic.
Lunch Rating... Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on salad and Ruben sandwich. The dinners at my table gave the food 3 stars. When asked what would improve the meal the dinners suggested larger portions.
