Bruce Nicholls celebrated his birthday today. Cheryl Collins celebrated 14 "wonderful" years of marriage.
Vacations
Bob and Barbara Ellis went to Ireland and the Greece during their summer of fun.
Happy Thoughts
Brad Pierce was happy to have sold another "church condo" . He is happy he has 2 left out of 14. Congrats Brad.
Barry Pett was happy to be present when the new Police Memorial was set into place 2 hour ago.
Bob Ellis was happy to be back to see the Sunday performance of The Cape Ann Symphony. Bob rated the performance the best the symphony has ever done.
Dave Stotzer was happy with this years Interact Club (70 strong) and with the Interact's board of directors.
Several members won at the chamber raffle last week, they included Mary Black, Howard Frisch, Ruth Pino, Charlie Foster, Carol Sharoff, and Donna Morris. President Joe fined all the winners so the club could share in the windfall.
Greg Bover has a neighbor's house for sale and wishes a fellow Rotarian would buy it. Rotarians make good neighbors!
Jim Marr was happy that a woman was wearing a seatbelt during a car crash that he witnessed. Seatbelts do save lives.
Bob Ryan had a good homecoming and was inducted into the Gloucester High School Sport's Hall of Fame.
Cheryl Collins wanted to know how she went to get her propane tank filled at Foster's and came home with a new grill attached to it.
Fines
David Babson was fined for wearing Leo's Bergeron's name tag.
Chamber raffle winners were all fined by President Joe.
Club News

October 5 is the big date that the club is moving to its new venue at the Elk's Lodge on Atlantic Road. The meeting will start next Tuesday at 12:10 PM and end at 1:25 PM for the time being until members can adjust their schedules.
October 7 is the date for the Gloucester / Rockport Rotary Golf Match. This highly significant grudge match (take no prisoners) is all in fun (not). Check with our Chief Grudge Master David McKechnie and his two partners crime, Bruce Horne and Bob Ryan for details.
Brad Pierce did a wonderful job organizing this years Past President's dinner held last Thursday at The Hearthside in Essex. Thank A good time was had by all who attended.

Winners and Losers...Bruce Nicholls won the beverage of choice. Jim Perry won the money, and Greg Bover won the flowers. No winners today in the card raffle.
Speakers.... Jim Marr presented Mike Liquate with a check for $500 for the World War II Memorial to be built on the Boulevard next to the bridge. Mike thanked the club and gave a brief history about Gloucester's men and women who were involved in the service of their country during this time of world war.
Lunch Rating... Meals will be rated by 5 stars, with 5 stars being the best. Today we dined on steak tips and rice. The dinners at my table gave the food 5 stars. When asked what would improve the meal the diners suggested more vegetables.
