One of Asheville's hidden gems, this historic 200 year-old log cabin sits on over five acres of peaceful grounds, ideally locate in South Asheville (within the city limits). The cabin is less than 5 miles form Christ School and 4 minutes from Earth Fare and Ingles supermarket on Hendersonville Road.
Once used as a hunting cabin on the grounds of the Biltmore, the cabin was moved to its current location in the 1960’s and remodeled again in 2002. The cabin is made of old-growth Chestnut timbers which, in some cases, are almost 3 feet wide. The floors are beautiful wide plank maple.
There are three stone fireplaces and plenty of closet space.
Downstairs are the kitchen, dining area, half bath and living room. The upstairs bedroom contains a queen bed and two twin beds. The loft bedroom has a queen size bed and a futon. There is also a full bath upstairs. Sleeps 6-8.
The grounds boast many attractions: a treehouse, stone wall garden, an apple orchard, a small stream, a walking trail and colorful, abundant birds. Maybe a bear if you're lucky!
Other amenities include high speed internet, a full basement with washer/dryer, large front porch good for watching fireflies, large back deck with grill.
Dates to be mutually agreed with owner.
